OUR HISTORY
BrickToYaFace was started to give independent artists in the Inland Empire a real stage and a real chance. What began as a local open-mic and community showcase evolved into one of the region’s most respected creative platforms.
Over time, BTYF became a hub for artists, producers, and fans who wanted something genuine, something that honored the art, the grind, and the love behind it all.
2009–2013: The Foundation
The Common Ground was born — a safe, creative space where artists could perform, grow, and connect.
BTYF built its name through grassroots shows, community showcases, and artist-driven events.
2014–2019: Expansion & Recognition
BTYF hosted the DIY Fest at The Glass House in Pomona for seven years straight, with the final edition taking place in 2017. Each year brought together independent artists, producers, and vendors from across the region, building a true “do it yourself” movement that inspired countless creatives.
In 2017, BTYF joined forces with The Happiness of Pursuit Festival, contributing to its growth through promotions, bookings, and managing the second stage, officially named The Common Ground Stage in honor of our roots. From 2017 to 2024, our team helped shape the festival into one of the Inland Empire’s most celebrated events for independent music and culture.
During this time, BTYF expanded its reach, touring, curating events, and strengthening its presence as a community hub for artists of all genres.
2020–Present: The Next Chapter
BrickToYaFace expanded into a label, releasing singles, merch, and collaborative projects under the same spirit that started it all.
We also returned to throwing shows consistently, reactivating the live energy that made BTYF a household name in the IE scene.
Partnering with Live Nation and local venues like RMA Riverside and Stage Red Fontana, we brought the movement to even larger stage, while keeping our community-centered soul intact.
Festivals like 909 Day, THOP Fest, DIY Fest, and Big Inland Winter Fest became full celebrations of art, love, and Inland Empire culture.
